Learn how to find and use the most unique third-party content while being cost-efficient and protecting yourself from liabilities, such as copyright, likeness, privacy and union issues. Steve Kozak, who has supervised all of the clearance, and procured footage for the monologue and comedy segments for the Tonight Show and now Jimmy Kimmel Live will present. This is MUST KNOW stuff.

About Steve Kozak
L.A. Native Steve Kozak has been a top clip producer in the industry for over 20 years. He had a 10-year run at "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", where he supervised all of the clearance, and procured footage for the monologue and comedy segments. He also co-created the show's highly-popular "Dealing with the Public" segment, for which he was personally honored by the National Emergency Number Association for "Educating the American Public through Humor". After Leno's retirement last year, he stayed on with Jimmy Fallon's re-branded "Tonight Show" as a consultant through April, when he was asked to join up with the competitor, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", where he is currently Director of Research and Clearances. He also researches and licenses content for the "Donny and Marie" live touring show, and is the founder of AMCUP, the Association of Media Content Users & Providers, which brings content creators and producers together.

About Barry Dagestino
Barry Dagestino has been in the content licensing business for over 20 years.  He holds the rare distinction with tremendous experience on both the “licensor” and “licensee” sides of the business. He started as a Librarian at Film Bank, one of the largest independent stock footage companies in the country, and within a few years was promoted to Regional Manager of Sales and Operations.  Barry stayed through Film Bank’s many incarnations – Sekani, and eventually Corbis Motion and then became West Coast representative for Corbis Rights Clearance.  In 2005, Barry was recruited by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios for Director of Clip & Still Licensing.  After six years of studio licensing with MGM, Barry started with the boutique footage start-up, GreenScreen Animals. Soon after that launch, he moved back to the Rights Clearance side of the business working on many independent projects including those for Google, Miramax Films, Super Bowl events and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Barry recently completed 3 seasons of “Ancient Aliens” and is now Clearance Manager on “Botched” for Evolution Media.  With his multi-faceted background in stock footage, studio content, and talent and music clearance, Barry is a content renaissance man.
